A recent painting, (for my sister's birthday) a much loved Cairn Terrier called Thea.

At the moment I am working on several smaller paintings of eggs & keys, (randomly)! I shall post my progress in the next few days...

Bit Late...

I haven't updated this in so long, oops.

Lots has happened, 'Quails Eggs' was selected to the Royal Society of Oil Painters annual exhibition in London which was very exciting...

I also had a painting selected for The Society of Equestrian Artists annual exhibition in Newmarket, here is the painting taking shape....(it's called Shadow)

Quails Eggs

I bought some quails eggs a while back on special offer, put them in the larder and promptly forgot them.

Once found the least I could do was immortalise them, but all those spots...tricky!

So when the basic eggs were dry I masked them off.

Then put the canvas on the floor and splattered them with very thinned paint.

So they looked like this...

Very pleased with them, they are painted on clear primed linen so no background other than the shadows.

Wind Ups!!

I love to browse ebay for interesting things, these two forlorn looking wind up cars with their eternal passengers made me want to buy them and paint them...so I did.

The finished painting, 'Wind Ups' Oil on Canvas, 100x50cms.

Moth

I found this Moth on a spiders web outside my kitchen window, it was so beautiful I decided to paint it, according to a reliable source it is, (or was) a Feathered Gothic...

It took a while...
